Preamplifier
In modern high-end DACs, the preamplifier stage plays an important role in determining the sound quality and characteristics. AMG DAC preamplifier design features:
- The output stage voltage amplification uses all discrete components.
- The output stage current amplification uses a high-speed amplifier with complete discrete components.
- The “current transmitter” does not have a negative feedback amplifier.
The sound is natural and relaxed, without any trace of digitization. Users can hear a very open sense of live performance space and a focused sound field. The melodies of guitar and piano are naturally spread in the listening space, making people relax and immerse themselves, transforming the rigid strings into natural and smooth sounds.
Heart
As the heart of the audio system, the AMG-DAC supports a wide range of inputs and formats. The dual ESS technology 32-bit audio DAC ESS9038Q2M independently decodes the left and right channels, improving channel separation and reducing overall noise. Vishay professional thin film MELF resistors provide excellent sound quality.

Other notable features:
- Muses 72320 Highly linear volume control.
- The NuPrime SRC IC chip (developed in conjunction with an IC supplier) provides DSP processing where the input signal is upsampled to megahertz and then downconverted to the target sampling rate with ultra-low jitter and distortion.
- Expansion port for Bluetooth receiver and WiFi audio streamer (optional).
- Full microprocessor control with memory retention.
- Supports ASIO2.1 and DoP native DSD playback.
- Ultra-low noise JFETs in the input stage achieve the lowest possible noise floor.
- The volume of each input can be adjusted independently for precise level matching of sources.
- Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
Using Bluetooth and WiFi Audio Receivers and Adapters
NuPrime has defined a USB Type-A port to transmit S/PDIF data and 5V power, allowing connection to an external wireless audio receiver using only a standard USB cable . The NuPrime Omnia WR-1, BTR-HD, Stream Mini, and Stream Mini DAC wireless receivers feature a micro-USB port that is compatible with this specification. This allows the use of a standard, off-the-shelf USB-A to micro-USB cable to power the receiver as well as wireless audio data transfer in S/PDIF format.
